About this Act

An Act to provide for the establishment of a national standards body for the harmonious development of the activities of standardisation, conformity assessment and quality assurance of goods, articles, processes, systems and services and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

All sections
    Nothing in this Act shall affect the operation of the Agricultural Produce (Grading and Marking) Act, 1937 (1 of 1937), or the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940), or any other law for the time being in force, which deals with any standardisation or quality control of any goods, article, process, system or service.
