Application of Act 4 of 1899.
About this Act
An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to the administration of cantonments with a view to impart greater democratisation, improvement of their financial base to make provisions for developmental activities and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
For the purposes of the Government Buildings Act, 1899,
cantonments and Boards shall be deemed to be municipalities and municipal authorities respectively and
the references to the State Government in section 4 of that Act shall be construed as references to the
Central Government.
