About this Act
An Act to amend and consolidate the laws relating to social security with the goal to extend social security to all employees and workers either in the organised or unorganised or any other sectors and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
Every member of a Social Security
Organisation and the officers and staff thereof, any Inspector-cum-Facilitator, competent authority,
Authorised Officer, Recovery Officer and any other person discharging any function under this Code, shall
be deemed to be a public servant within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code (45 of 1860).
