About this Act
An Act to make certain provisions for the insurance of goods in India against damage arising from emergency risks and matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
Any offence punishable under sub-section (2) of section 7, or
sub-section (2) of section 9 may, either before or after the institution of the prosecution, be compounded
by the Central Government or by any authority authorised in this behalf by the Central Government, on
payment for credit to the Fund of such sum as the Central Government or such authority, as the case may
be, thinks fit.
