About this Act
An Act to provide for measures to deter fugitive economic offenders from evading the process of law in India by staying outside the jurisdiction of Indian courts, to preserve the sanctity of the rule of law in India and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding
shall lie against the Central Government or Presiding Officer of the Special Court or Director or
Deputy Director or any other officer authorised by the Director for anything which is in good faith
done or intended to be done under this Act or any rule made thereunder.
