About this Act

An Act to provide for the formation of the new State of Himachal Pradesh by uniting the existing States of Himachal Pradesh and Bilaspur, and for matters connected therewith.

All sections
    (1) This Act may be called the Himachal Pradesh and Bilaspur (New State) Act, 1954.
     (2) It shall come into force on such date1 as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint in this behalf.
