The Mental Healthcare Act, 2017
About this Act
An Act to provide for mental healthcare and services for persons with mental illness and to protect, promote and fulfil the rights of such persons during delivery of mental healthcare and services and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
The State Authority shall prepare in every year, in such
form and at such time as may be prescribed by the State Government, an annual report giving a full
account of its activities during the previous year, and copies thereof along with copies of its annual
accounts and auditor's report shall be forwarded to the State Government and the Government shall
cause the same to be laid before the State Legislature.
