Appointment of staff.

About this Act
An Act to declare the institution known as the National Institute of Design, hmedabad, to be an institution of national importance for the promotion of quality and excellence in education,research and training in all disciplines relating to Design and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
All appointments of the staff of 1[an Institute], except that of the Director,
shall be made in accordance with the procedure laid down in the Statutes by--
(a) the Governing Council, if the appointment is made on the academic staff in the post of 2[Principal Designer] or Professor or above or if the appointment is made on the non-academic staff in any cadre, the maximum of the pay-scale for which is the same or higher than that of 2[Principal Designer] or Professor; and
(b) the Director, in any other case.
