Duties of medical facilities.
The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005
About this Act
An Act to provide for more effective protection of the rights of women guaranteed under the Constitution who are victims of violence of any kind occurring within the family and formatters connected therewith or incidental thereto.
If an aggrieved person or, on her behalf a Protection Officer or a
service provider requests the person in charge of a medical facility to provide any medical aid to her, such
person in charge of the medical facility shall provide medical aid to the aggrieved person in the medical
facility.
