Short title and commencement.
About this Act
An Act to provide for certain matters relating to the territorial waters continental shelf, exclusive economic zone and other maritime zones of India.
(1) This Act may be called the Territorial Waters, Continental
Shelf, Exclusive Economic Zone and Other Maritime Zones Act, 1976.
(2) Sections 5 and 7 shall come into force on such date1 or on such different dates as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and the remaining provisions of this Act shall come into force at once.
