About this Act
An Act to provide for the speedy acquisition of land for the resettlement of displaced persons.
(1) This Act may be called the Resettlement of
Displaced Persons (Land Acquisition) Act, 1948.
(2) It extends to the 1 *** 2 [territories which immediately before the 1st November, 1956 were comprised in the States of Delhi and Ajmer].
