Long Title: An Act to provide for the acquisition and transfer of the textile undertakings, and the right, title and interest of the owners in respect of the textile undertakings, specified in the First Schedule with a view to augmenting the production and distribution of different varieties of cloth and yarn so as to subserve the interests of the general public and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Section 33: Protection of action taken in good faith.
    No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against the Central Government or any officer of that Government or the Custodian or the National Textile Corporation or any subsidiary textile corporation or any officer or other person authorised by either of such Corporations for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done under this Act.
