Section 14: Power to solicit or receive offerings on behalf of the Durgah.
    1[(1)] It shall be lawful for the Nazim or any person authorised by him in this behalf to solicit and receive on behalf of the Durgah any nazars or offerings from any person, and notwithstanding anything contained in any rule of law or decision to the contrary, no person other than the Nazim of any person authorised by him in this behalf shall receive or be entitled to receive nazars or offerings or behalf of the Durgah.
     2[(2) Whoever solicits or receives any nazars or offerings in contravention of the provisions of subsection (1), shall be punishable with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees.
     (3) The Nazim, the Sajjadanashin, the employees and servants of the Durgah Endowment and all other persons authorised to do any act under this Act shall, while acting or purporting to act in pursuance of any of the provisions made by or under this Act, be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code.]
