Certain offences to be cognizable
The Securities Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1956
About this Act
An Act to prevent undesirable transactions in securities by regulating the business of dealing therein, by providing for certain other matters connected therewith.
Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of
Criminal Procedure, 1898 (5 of 1898), any offence punishable under 1*** section 23 shall be deemed to
be cognizable offence within the meaning of that Code.
