Section 44:
Issue of duplicate certificates.
Where it is shown to the satisfaction of the Registrar that a
certificate of registration 1[or a certificate of renewal] has been lost or destroyed, the Registrar may, on
payment of the prescribed fee, issue a duplicate certificate in the prescribed form.
