Long Title: An Act to declare the institution known as the National Institute of Design, hmedabad, to be an institution of national importance for the promotion of quality and excellence in education,research and training in all disciplines relating to Design and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Section 37: Institute to be public authority under Right to Information Act, 2005.
    The provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005 (22 of 2005) shall apply to 1[every Institute], as if it were a public authority as defined in clause (h) of section 2 of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
