Long Title: An Act to establish and incorporate an open University at the national level for the introduction and promotion of the open university and distance education systems in the educational pattern of the country and for the co-ordination and determination of standards in such systems.

Section 30: Conditions of service of employees.
    (1) Every employee of the University shall be appointed under a written contract and such contract shall not be inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, the Statutes and the Ordinances.
     (2) The contract referred to in sub-section (1) shall be lodged with the University and a copy of which shall be furnished to the employee concerned.
