Long Title: An Act to provide for the acquisition and transfer of the undertakings of Messrs. Gresham and Craven of India (Private) Limited for the purpose of ensuring the continuity of production of goods which are vital to the needs of the Railways and of the industries manufacturing engineering products and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Section 26: Protection of action taken in good faith.
    .(1) No suit, prosecution, or other legal proceeding shall lie against the Central Government or any officer of that Government, or the Braithwaite and Company Limited, or the Government company, or any officer or other person authorised by that Government, or the Braithwaite and Company Limited, or the Government company, for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done under this Act.
     (2) No suit or other legal proceeding shall lie against the Central Government or any of its officers or other employees, or the Braithwaite and Company Limited, or the Government company, or any officer or other person authorised by the Braithwaite and Company Limited, or the Government company, for any damage caused or likely to be caused by anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done under this Act.
