Power for State Government to modify application of Act to certain inland mechanically propelled vessels.
The State Government may, 1

Official Gazette, declare that all or any of the provisions of 2[Chapters II, IIA and III] shall not apply in the case of any specified class of 3[mechanically propelled vessels], or shall apply to
them with such modifications as may be specified in the notification,,
