Section 1:
Short title and extent.
1 (1) This Act may be called the Glanders and Farcy Act, 1899.
(2) It extends to the whole of India except 2
the territories which immediately before the 1st
November, 1956, were comprised in Part B States ;
Notes:
1. The Act has been amended in its application to Andhra Pradesh by Andhra Pradesh Act 27 of 1960 and Maha -
rashtra by Maharashtra Act 34 of 1960.
The Act has been rep. in its application to Bellary District by Mysore Act 14 of 1955.
The Act has been extended to Goa, Daman and Diu by Reg. 11 of 1963, s. 3 and Sch.
2. Subs. by the Adaptation of Laws (No. 2) Order, 1956, for “Part B States”.
