Section 22:
Extent of Act.
1[22. Extent of Act. --This Act, as amended by subsequent Acts, extends to the whole of India
except 2[the territories which, immediately before the 1st November, 1956, were comprised in Part B
States]; but it shall not apply to carriages ordinarily plying for hire within the limits of any
municipality or cantonment or other place in which any law for the regulation of carriages is for the
time being in force. ]
