Long Title: An Act to provide for the regulation of recycling of ships by setting certain standards and laying down the statutory mechanism for enforcement of such standards and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Section 4: Designation of Competent Authority.
    The Central Government shall, by notification, designate an Authority to be called the Competent Authority, for performance of such duties within the geographical area or areas of expertise as may be prescribed.
