Long Title: An Act to declare certain institutions of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management to be the institutions of national importance and to provide for instructions and research in food technology, entrepreneurship and management and for the advancement of learning and dissemination of knowledge in such branches and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Section 18: Powers and functions of Chairperson.

    (1) The Chairperson shall ordinarily preside at the meetings of the Board and at the Convocations of the Institute.
     (2) It shall be the duty of the Chairperson to ensure that the decisions taken by the Board are implemented.
     (3) The Chairperson shall exercise such other powers and perform such other functions as may be conferred on or assigned to him by this Act or the Statutes.
