And it is hereby enacted, that the party certified as the proprietor of an estate by purchase at public sale for the recovery of arrears of Revenue shall be answerable for all instalments of the Revenue of Government which may fall due subsequently to the day of sale: provided, however, that in the case of re-sales the purchaser shall be answerable for all instalments of Revenue which fell due subsequently to the day of the first sale.
