Long Title: An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to the governance of the Assam Rifles, an Armed Force of the Union for ensuring the security of the borders of India, to carry out Counter Insurgency Operations in the specified areas and to act in aid of civil authorities for the maintenance of the law and order and for matters connected therewith.

Section 100: Application of this Act during term of sentence.

(1) When a person subject to this Act is sentenced by an Assam Rifles Court to imprisonment, this Act shall apply to him during the term of his sentence, though he is dismissed from the Force or has otherwise ceased to be subject to this Act, and he may be kept, removed, imprisoned and punished as if he continued to be subject to this Act.
(2) When a person subject to this Act is sentenced by an Assam Rifles Court to death, this Act shall apply to him till the sentence is carried out.
