Long Title: An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to Land-revenue and the powers of Revenue-officers in the Central Provinces.

Section 162: Chief Commissioner may make rules and attach penalty to breach thereof.
    The Chief Commissioner may, with the previous sanction of the Governor General in Council, make rules consistent with this Act for carrying out its provisions, and may attach to the breach of any such rule, or of any other rule made by him under this Act, a penalty which may extend to two hundred rupees, or, when such breach is a continuing breach, to fifty rupees for each day during which such breach continues.
    All powers to make rules conferred by this Act on the Chief Commissioner shall be exercised subject to the control of the Governor General in Council, and may be exercised from time to time as occasion requires.
    No rule made by the Chief Commissioner under this Act shall take effect until it has been published in the local official Gazette.
    All such rules, when so published, shall have the force of law.
