Act Name: The National Capital Region Planning Board Act, 1985

Long Title: An Act to provide for the constitution of a Planning Board for the preparation of a plan for the development of the National Capital Region and for co-ordinating and monitoring the implementation of such plan and for evolving harmonized policies for the control of land-uses and development of infrastructure in the National Capital Region so as to avoid any haphazard development of that region and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Section 37: Power to make regulations.
    (1) The Board may, with the previous approval of the Central Government, by notification in the Official Gazette, make regulations not inconsistent with this Act and the rules made thereunder to carry out the provisions of this Act.
     (2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such regulations may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:--
         (a) the manner in which and the purposes for which the Board may associate with itself any person under section 11;
         (b) the terms and conditions of service of the officers and employees of the Board under sub-section (2) of section 31; and
         (c) any other matter in respect of which provision is to be, or may be, made by regulations.
